Fresh Out of Internship

The Foster Consulting Firm has opened my eyes to lifelong lessons that I will forever be grateful for. 

As my first internship one of the most important things I’ve learned was to be vocal and ask questions about any topic or training I’m unsure about.

My first training was an experience I won't forget with learning the basics of running a social media account and being consistent each week. There is more than just likes and comments that are important on social media. For example, the Instagram algorithm consists of a hierarchy where the most important element is bookmarks. The most saved posts trend more. 

Another key i learned while interning was as i make my posts, there should be a theme within each post and throughout the page. For FCF their theme is green, earthy and fresh vibes. I learned how to implement my research skills in my blog posts and captions. Being conversational and vulnerable is a plus with connecting to your target audience. People want to see the real you. 

My writing has been a struggle for me. I was taught one on one on how to get my creativity going and write about the things I know about and elaborate. 

Another one of my communication skills that I have developed was speaking to The public. This is not just communication with Current or potential clients, but also with drip email campaigns and how to catch someone’s attention through a single message or video. 

Through my training I have learned to utilize the Internet because it does have many sources including tutorials on how to come up with catchy headlines and how to not make posts over 250 words. 

Not only has this internship helped develop my skills into my future career, but also I gained The courage and positivity within myself. I have acquired skills that will take me far into my career and lifestyle in general. I have gained so much knowledge and learned that everything is a feeling and learning process. I will forever be grateful for my first internship.
